  2. I just love teh picture of the bright leaves! My favorite memory is of when I was a child we had a yard that had a road next to it that was about 2 feet higher than our yard. there was a row of trees right next to the drop off. I would lay under the trees where teh leaves had piled so very high. Every time a car would drive by it would carry a few more leaves that would drop on me (And also more came down from the trees).

  126. Oh, my memory of Fall really centered around the talk of the leaves. My husband was a Highway Foreman for a town close to us and then had to pick up all the leaves every day for two months. It was a dirty dusty job. He and his crew hated leaves, so there was never talk of how pretty they were. But now, we laugh about it and love to see them come. Oh, also the smell of the apple pies baking. I was always baking

  153. My favorite memory for fall is apple picking in my uncle's orchard in the fall when I was small. We always went there on his farm. I loved it there!

Love your block and your table runner will be so pretty and festive.

  155. I love everything about fall. It is hard to pick a favorite memory. Just walking ... amid all that glorious color ... with the leaves falling ... and crunching underfoot ... would have to be the best ... :) Pat

  156. My favorite memory is the changing colors and the crispness in the air. We don't get that fall reaction down here.

  157. I too love fall colors. One good memory - my then 3 year old son had just started to wear glasses. He ran in the house and told me he lost them in the pile of leaves they were playing in. So outside we go, the kids had raked a huge pile of leaves about a foot deep and 8-10 feet square. I asked him where he'd been standing, went to that spot, and on my very first sweep with my hands found his glasses.

  160. I love the fall. I especially like it this year after the brutally hot summer. My memory of fall is fairly new since our grankids have been born. We farm and we also plant pumpkins for the grandkids to come and pick their special pumpkin.I love watching them run and checking out what has grown and finding "their" pumpkin.

  168. Raking leaves. We didn't have a lot but it was always fun for me. Reminds me of Thanksgiving so I must have done it on Thanksgiving holiday a lot.
